General Terms and Conditions for the Hotel Accommodation Contract of LORENZ HOTELS GmbH as the operating company of Hotel Achterum in Greetsiel – hereinafter referred to as "Hotel".

§ 1 Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions apply to contracts for the rental provision of hotel rooms for accommodation and additional services of the Hotel. Subletting or further letting of the provided rooms as well as their use for purposes other than accommodation require the prior consent of the Hotel in text form.

§ 2 Contract Conclusion, Partners, Limitation Period

The Hotel is free to confirm the room booking in text form. Contract partners are the Hotel and the customer. If a third party has made the booking for the customer, they are liable to the Hotel together with the customer as joint and several debtors. All claims against the Hotel generally expire within one year from the statutory commencement of the limitation period. Claims for damages expire within five years.

§ 3 Services, Prices, Payment, Set-off

The customer is obliged to pay the Hotel's applicable prices for the room provision and any additional services used. Hotel invoices are payable without deduction within 14 days of receipt of the invoice. In case of payment default, the Hotel is entitled to charge a flat fee of €25.00. The Hotel is entitled to require advance payment or security deposit from the customer upon conclusion of the contract.

§ 4 Customer Withdrawal (Cancellation, Cancellation, NoShow)

A withdrawal by the customer from the contract concluded with the Hotel requires the Hotel's consent in text form. If a date for free withdrawal has been agreed between the Hotel and the customer, the customer may withdraw from the contract until that date without triggering payment or damage compensation claims by the Hotel. The right to withdraw expires from two weeks before the contractually agreed arrival date.

§ 5 Hotel Withdrawal

If it has been agreed in text form that the customer may withdraw from the contract free of charge within a certain period, the Hotel is also entitled to withdraw from the contract during this period. In the event of justified withdrawal by the Hotel, the customer has no claim for damages.

§ 6 Room Provision, Handover and Return

Booked rooms are available to the customer from 14:00 on the agreed arrival date. On the agreed departure date, the rooms must be vacated and made available to the Hotel by 11:00 at the latest. After that, the Hotel may charge 50% of the full accommodation price for use exceeding the contract until 14:00, thereafter 100%.

§ 7 Hotel Liability

The Hotel is liable for its obligations under the contract. For items brought in, the Hotel is liable according to statutory provisions. Liability is limited to one hundred times the room price, but at most €3,500, and for money, securities and valuables up to a maximum of €800.

§ 8 Final Provisions

Amendments and additions to the contract shall be made in text form. German law applies. Should individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
